amazing sights...

...there were some amazing sights to be seen. In barcelona, the cucumber building was a sight to see. By day, green and red and cool as a cucumber - by night, blue and red, it lit up and metamorphisized into a sparklng space-ship. Around the world, she had noticed that functional buildings, such as stadiums and stations, were the new theatres, opera houses and cathedrals, with their spectacular space-age shapes, stained glass facades and gold and marble interiors, all set alight by billions of kilowatts and dollars, as if nobody had a care in the world and energy was endless. The crowning glory, was the "new" eiffel tower", all dressed up in it's shimmering sequinned coat of silver and gold, it seemed to shiver defiantly in the night, or was it the final death spasm of the western world before the lights went out...
